Why We’re Bringing Myofascial Release to the Farm (and What It Has to Do with Your Renewal)

First things first…

If you’re new to the myofascial release club—welcome! I’m holding the gate open and waving you in with joy. 👋

Because here’s the truth:
Your body has been holding more than you realize, and it’s most likely yearning to let go of what no longer belongs.

What Is Fascia (and Why Should You Care)?

Fascia is a beautiful, often-overlooked part of your body—a stretchy, fibrous web of connective tissue that wraps around every organ, muscle, bone, and nerve. Think of it like your body’s natural scaffolding. When your fascia is hydrated and healthy, you feel light, flexible, and supported. But when stress, trauma, injury, or overuse creep in… your fascia can become tight, stuck, and inflamed—leading to pain, stiffness, and that “why do I feel so heavy?” sensation. 🍃

What Is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial release (MFR) is a gentle, trauma-informed therapy that applies sustained pressure to specific areas of the body to loosen restrictions in the fascia. This isn’t your typical massage—it’s slower, deeper work that honors the nervous system and encourages release in layers. That’s where the incredibly skilled and soul-led Alex LaPierre of North GA Myofascial Release comes in.

💛As Alex so beautifully puts it:

Myofascial release and moments in nature offer us a powerful awareness and practice of working and revitalizing the soil of our nervous systems.”

Yes. Yes. Yes! That’s the heart of why we’re bringing this practice to the flower farm this fall.

This regenerative practice blends so beautifully with the rhythm of nature and the way it supports us with herbs and flowers our Creator blesses us with!

Why Fall Is the Perfect Season for This Work

🍂Fall is nature’s invitation to let go. To slow down. To shed what no longer serves us.

And just like the trees drop their leaves in trust, your body is also ready to release. It’s been carrying stories and stress in quiet places, and this retreat is your gentle cue to return to yourself—body, mind, and spirit.

What You’ll Experience at the Ground, Gather and Bloom Retreat

Here’s what our soul-soothing Saturday will look like:

1. 👣 Ground & Set Intentions

We’ll begin by connecting our soles (and souls) to the soil—anchoring ourselves with breath, awareness, and a personal intention for release and renewal.

2. 🌱Stretch & Soften

Guided by Alex, we’ll move through a supportive, trauma-informed myofascial release practice with gentle stretching and self-treatment techniques using yoga mats and MFR tools (all provided!). You’ll explore areas of tightness, tension, or emotional holding in a safe and honoring space. Every release is a welcome release.

3. 🌼Bloom & Learn

We’ll then be joined by Chelsea Korzenko (ME🙋‍♀️), Therapeutic Horticulture Practitioner and founder of Daffodilly Farms, where I’ll guide you through the healing power of seasonal plants – you’ll be able to smell, touch, and feel them while learning about cultivating the beautiful herbs and flowers—and how tending to nature mirrors the process of tending to yourself.

🌿 What You’ll Leave With

You’ll walk away with:

  • Two personalized MFR techniques to help you decompress at home
  • A brief, hands-on treatment experience from Alex
  • A bouquet of healing herbs and flowers to support your continued rest and renewal journey
  • New grounding practices to reconnect when life feels overwhelming
  • A deeper understanding of what your body’s been holding—and how to gently release it

Oh—and yes, we’ll provide water, yoga mats, and MFR treatment balls so you can just come as you are.
