“It was the first time in a long time I truly felt inner peace.”
- Kara M (Previous Participant)

I found myself gardening with flowers to cope with the darkest days of my life. I had zero gardening skills, a broken heart, and limited time as a single parent.

I know the darkness of rock bottom
and I also know the grit of pushing up through dirt to bloom.

Turns out… the therapeutic gardening activities in growing flowers as self-care was a real, evidence-based intervention: therapeutic horticulture.

HUman & Plant science education

After witnessing the powerful benefits that
bloomed holistic wellness in my life,

I spent the next four years training in nature-based therapies such has horticultural therapy and therapeutic horticulture.

I enrolled in Colorado State University and powered up with human science and plant science courses. I also enrolled in Floret's Online Flower Course to start my own small cut flower farm.

I completed four horticultural therapy courses and received my certificate in horticultural therapy from Horticultural Therapy Institute.

I went from a flower admirer,
with ZERO green thumb, to
operating a fabulous flower
farm that is flourishing as a therapeutic flower farm
informed by therapeutic garden design and concepts.

My favorite things

When I found Jesus, this was the first bible verse to speak light and truth. It was also the first one I memorized to get me through one of the hardest times of my life.

01. Isaiah 43:1-4

My favorite flower changes every season - every year. But, hands down my flower rock is a Daffodil.

02. Flowers

I LOVE, LOVE lazy mornings either with my family, animals, garden, books, Jesus, and (always) acup of tea in hand.

03. Relaxed mornings

ONE day I will own a sheep farm - it's been on my vision board and part of my home decor for 16 years. Patience pays off - right? LOL

04. Sheep

Dusk speaks to my soul in ways I can't put into words. There's something about the last kiss of the sun when there is no sun to be found...

05. Dusk

I was 18 years old when I visited the Lake District - it's still one of my favorite places. It was home to my favorite poet (William Wordsworth) and the inspiration to Daffodilly's name. :)

I am the cookie monster... give me cookie everything!

07. Cookies

I LOVE to write and read books (classic literature, fantasy, light romance).

08. Writing & Reading

I have zero dancing experience. It's more of a therapeutic tool for me to process my emotions. I LOVE contemporary style.
