Are you ready to transform your team's well-being and productivity?
I developed this client wellness program by experiencing the transformative power of nature first-hand in my own recovery.
Six years ago, I chose to start healing from past abuse trauma, depression, and anxiety.
In my recovery, I signed up for a cut flower gardening course as a way to regain purpose. What I experienced in the process of growing flowers as self-care was actually a real, evidence-based intervention: therapeutic horticulture.
After witnessing the powerful benefits it bloomed in my life, I spent the next four years training in this interdisciplinary, therapeutic modality. I earned a certificate in Horticultural Therapy through the Horticultural Therapy Institute and powered up with human science and plant science courses from Colorado State University.
In 2023, I created and operated therapeutic horticulture programs for organizations like Cherokee Violence Family Center and The North Georgia Angel House as well as leading therapeutic horticulture sessions for spinal cord injury survivors through Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance in Atlanta.
Realizing the profound impact of therapeutic horticulture in the recovery process, I now assist organizations looking for an impactful, accessible, and long-term intervention that can produce client holistic wellness, inner peace, and purpose.
Therapeutic horticulture uses gardening and plant-related activities to improve mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and social well-being. This modality in recovery enhances stress reduction, promotes social connection, and boosts creativity and purpose.
Our programs are designed to be inclusive and adaptable. We accommodate varying physical abilities and provide options for participants with mobility or health considerations. No gardening skills are need to participate.
All activities are customized to your client’s needs. Still, a few evidence-based examples include herbal-infused water tasting for sensory activation, mindfulness practices with plants, team-building exercises like companion planting, and seed-starting sessions.
Safety is our top priority. We conduct thorough risk assessments, provide appropriate equipment, and have trained staff on-site to oversee activities and respond to any concerns promptly.
